From oversized chocolate installations and inflatable bug kingdoms to trampolines, bumper cars, and beachside egg hunts, there is something for every age group across the city’s major retail destinations.
Whether you are looking for a rainy-day activity with young children, an Instagram-worthy photo backdrop, or a genuinely educational outing, this roundup covers the six best Easter exhibitions and events running between mid-March and early May 2026. Each listing includes dates, locations, and practical tips so you can plan your visit without surprises.

The programme runs from 19 March to 19 April 2026, with activities spread across all eight participating Chinachem properties. Highlights include a cross-mall treasure hunt that takes participants through eight different merchants, a pop-up store by local bean-to-bar chocolatier Essays inCacao, and a series of weekend workshops called the Chocolate Research Masterclass (可可研究精讀班).
The masterclass sessions are led by IICCT internationally certified chocolate sommelier Manman Chan, joined by five guest experts covering pairings with coffee, cocktails, and savoury dishes. Workshops run on six designated public holidays between 21 March and 11 April, and participants receive organic cocoa tea upon completion.

The West Kowloon Cultural District is hosting its annual WestK FunFest from 19 March to 12 April 2026, with more than 120 programmes spanning theatre, music, workshops, and outdoor installations.

Two 10-metre inflatable robotic sleeping cats have been installed on the Harbourside East Lawn at Art Park, and they are free to visit. This marks the installation’s Asian debut, and it is already drawing large crowds on weekends. The cats respond to ambient sound and light, making them particularly impressive after sunset.

Planning Tips for Easter Mall-Hopping in Hong Kong
If you are planning to visit multiple exhibitions over the Easter holiday, a few practical tips will help:
Go on weekdays where possible. Most of these events run daily or across extended date ranges, and weekday crowds are significantly lighter than weekends and public holidays. The Easter public holidays in 2026 fall on Friday 3 April to Monday 6 April, so Tuesday to Thursday visits offer the best experience.
Check booking requirements in advance. The Jumptopia events at MCP and MOSTown, as well as the Chinachem workshops, require pre-booking. Walk-ins may be available for some sessions, but this is not guaranteed during school holidays.
Bring socks for every inflatable venue. This is a universal requirement at Jumptopia and similar bouncy installations, and it is easy to forget.
Use the MTR for transport. All of the mall venues listed here are directly connected to or within walking distance of MTR stations. An Octopus card is the fastest way to move between locations. For more on navigating the system, see our Complete Guide to the Hong Kong MTR.
